I came across this great previously unreleased Wilco track (featured as a B Side on the 7 inch single for "You Never Know) called "Unlikely Japan". I would call it an early version of "Impossible Germany" but really, this is a totally different song. Recorded in 2003, it is sort of the missing link between "A Ghost is Born" and "Sky Blue Sky". Enjoy.

Hey! Just thought I'd let you know that I was absolutely stoked (and maybe baked) when I first heard this track off that 7 inch b-side, especially the smooth shimmering part near the end where the vocals come in. In an effort to get it into my archive of digital music I managed to record it onto my computer off the turntable through a few gadgets I had sitting around.
